Housekeeping Steward


We are currently recruiting an experienced Housekeeping Steward to support service on board a luxury rail service, across the country. This person will be responsible for providing exceptional housekeeping service to our guests, ensuring that all guest areas and cabs are well maintained. We're looking for someone who is bubbly and happy to interact with guests, while also maintaining a professional manner. Flexibility is also essential, as you will need to do whatever duties best meet the needs of our guests. Please note that this is an onsite role, accommodation and food will be provided.


What You'll be doing

  • General housekeeping including (but not limited to) cleaning guest cabs and public areas, replacing guest beds with clean linen, replacing/adding required guest amenities and assisting with guest laundry.
  • Assisting with general on board duties including assisting with greeting guests and helping with luggage.
  • Ensuring proper use and care of all cleaning equipment.
  • Ensuring all housekeeping stock items are returned to stores to avoid wastage and to control costs.
  • Working 40 hours across a 7 day operation, for 4 months


What We're Looking for

  • Minimum two years’ experience in house keeping
  • Immaculate presentation and a professional, well-groomed appearance
  • Calm, confident, and attentive with excellent communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable with working hours across various venues
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining composure
  • Genuine commitment to delivering consistently high levels of service
